Robotic Stag Beetle v3.0a

This project is modified from the previous Robotic Stag Beetle v2.0 to modify some component such as the eggs and the gearbox. This is a very interesting project to make a robotic insect.

In MMU workshop, students will study the basic principle of metal cutting, such as cutting speed, feed rate, cutting fluid, and different measuring equipment as well as the safety concept in a machining workshop. The knowledge is also applied in CNC and NCM workshops in the future.

Mechanical Toy

This is a very interesting project to make a mechanical toy --- The Monster. This project aims to provide the PIT & ISE students to use different machines and operation methods in The Industrial Centre.

In MMU workshop, students will study the basic principle of metal cutting, such as cutting speed, feed rate, cutting fluid, and different measuring equipment as well as the safety concept in a machining workshop. The knowledge is also applied in CNC and NCM workshops in the future.

French Fry Cutter

Two designs consist of horizontal and vertical press direction of French Fry Cutter are designed by students who study the Product Design. Students are grouped by four to five members to manufacture the whole set of the project.

To complete the first day of training in Machining and Metrology Unit (MMU), students will study the basic principle of metal cutting, such as cutting speed, feed rate, cutting fluid, and different measuring equipment as well as the safety concept in a machining workshop. The knowledge is also applied in CNC and NCM workshops in the future. Students are also assigned to operate centre lathe and milling machine to make different components of the project.

Skate 2

This project is improved from the Skate Scooter, the previous one used in year 2002.

Students studying the Integrated Training Project - Skate Scooter are divided into several groups. To complete the first two days of training in Machining and Metrology Unit (MMU), students will study the basic principle of metal cutting, such as cutting speed, feed rate, cutting fluid, and different measuring equipment as well as the safety concept in a machining workshop. The knowledge is also applied in CNC and NCM workshops in the future. Students are also assigned to operate centre lathe and milling machine at the first two days.
