table and the vice had be aligned by using dial indicator

Surface finishing for
three sides.

Cut the workpiece

sides become the right dimension.

Workpiece was then
placed onto the grinding machines for further polishing

0.5mm for each side
were left for the grinding process

Rough cut the middle
part.

60¢X angles milling
tool to cut one side.

Another side just
needed to mill the middle part.

A point was set to be
the origin and the digital indicator was reset to be all zero

The coordinates of
other 3 corners were recorded
m) Drilling
all the holes.

Saddle (Part no.22)
The material used
is cast iron which is very hard to machine.
a)
cast iron given is
cut into smaller part for milling by cutting machine

cast iron is then
milled into the required rectangular shape
c)
grinding machine is
used to smooth the surface of the saddles

d)
the ditch is machined
using cutting tool and 60 form tool respectively
e)
the holes are drilled
by using edge finder and drilling tool
