Methodology

We based the approach of our detail design on the previous calculation, investigation, comparison and conclusion. Simply to say, the furnace would be driven by hands or a D.C motor with 120W and 90V together with a gearbox, and there would be at least two safety locking systems: one is the bicycle brake; one is electrical emergency stop.

 

Evolution and Mechanism Description

In order to come up with a practical and optimal design, we discussed and solved the problems. Finally we got the finalized design of the tilting device.

In general, there are 6 main parts of mechanism of our final decision. They are:
