Objectives
To test whether the
dust
in plastic beads, would jam and slip the partition boundary of the
separator during operation, in the following scenarios:
- No air purge and no gap
between the plates
- Air purge and no gap
between the plates
- Air purge and gap between
the plates
Results
Without
compressed air applied to the track, the rotation of the blocks was a
bit difficult since the plastic beads jammed inside the gap between the
lower block and upper block.
When compressed air is applied, the rotation of the blocks is much
smoother. However, the compressed air may blow away the plastic
beads inside the rectangular holes if the pipe for applying compressed
air is not installed properly.
