Introduction

Our manufacturing project is in collaboration with Standard Success Groups Limited. In this project, it is required to design an epoxy filling machine incorporated in production of toroidal transformer and meet the criteria as requested. At the early stage, we have been to the factory for site visit and look into the situations. We had hold meetings and presentations with the engineers from the company. After the technical visit, we have a deeper understanding of background of factory and production process, technical difficulties existing for affecting reliability, any possible defect and realize the expectation from factory's side and presenting to the personnel of the company with our preliminary design.

By looking into the current production flow of the transformer inside the factory, the mixing of the hardener with the epoxy as well as the injection of the epoxy mixture inside the cavity of the transformer is done manually.

There is room for further improvement on accuracy for the mixing ratio of epoxy and enhancing the productivity by effective epoxy filling.

As a result, we need to design an automatic dispenser system to enhance productivity and efficiency, improve the quality of products and simplify labor workflow by automatic control.
