Design Scope

The scope of our project consists three parts: design an epoxy filling machine by using PLC, design the appropriate fixture of holding transformers into position and construct the fixture and machine. Moreover, the system should be easy to assembly, clean and undergo maintenance or overhaul activities, user friendly economical of time and money in manufacturing and production and effective in production and installation.

For the dispenser system, the mechanism should possess three main functions. Firstly, labor has to locate the transformer (2 each time) onto the fixture. Then, the dispenser will automatically fill in the correctly mixed epoxy into the cavity with filling time and volume of epoxy controlled by PLC. Finally, the labor takes out the fixture from turntable and put the fixture into oven.

or the turntable, the transformers would be placed on it awaiting for the epoxy filling. The driving mechanism used is ratchet which is designed to move the turntable by every 90° .
